Firmware update - SD card

The software update can be performed using an SD card.

It is the safest, most effective and fastest way to update. An alternative is to update via the RS485 bus.

ATTENTION:
In the following instructions, only the file name "firmware.bin" is used. The new firmware file is usually shipped with a different name to make it easier to identify. Before updating, please rename the file to "firmware.bin".

The process should be carried out as follows:

1 Remove the microSD card from the panel (the panel can be turned on).
2

Insert it into the reader on the computer.

ATTENTION:
The card may contain, inter alia, the "firmware.bin" file, which contains the last loaded FW.
You can rename it and save it on the card or delete / overwrite it.

3

Copy the new "firmware.bin" file to the card.

ATTENTION:
It is best to safely eject the SD card before removing it from the computer.

TIP:
The "firmware.bin" file can remain on the card, it does not interfere with the normal operation of the device.

4

Insert the card into the panel.

The contacts of the card should be directed to the panel connectors (the panel may be turned on).

5

Use a non-conductive stick to press and hold the button on the back of the device (CONFIG BUTTON).

ATTENTION:

A metal element inserted carelessly may cause a short circuit and damage the panel!
The warranty does not cover this type of damage!

Keep the button pressed until the configuration menu is displayed.

6

One of the lower buttons has the "RESTART" function.

Use it while holding the CONFIG BUTTON button.

7

Keep holding the button until the first update progress bar appears.

TIP:
Alternatively, the update process can be triggered by pressing and holding the CONFIG BUTTON button while powering on the device.
The basic method is usually more convenient to do yourself.

8

The firmware file verification process will start.
If successful, the device will update.

9

The process is automatic and ends with an automatic restart of the device.

10

The update will end with the message "SUCCESS" or "FAILED" and the panel will restart in normal operation mode.

In case of failure, the panel can be put back into the update mode by pressing and holding the CONFIG BUTTON button while turning on the power of the device.
